IC Information
CHARACTER NAME: Francis York Morgan
AGE: 32
CANON: Deadly Premonition
CANON POINT: Within Greenvale; Anna, Becky, and Diane have been killed; he has met Harry Stewart; the Red Seeds Murder case has not been solved.
FAMILY TYPES:
Metal Empire: York is... a little aloof when it comes to actually interacting with other people. It's mostly more due to being caught in his own thoughts rather than a conscious decision to shut people out, but it still comes up when he doesn't quite realize that you can't discuss grisly murders over lunch.

Virus Busters: As an agent of the FBI, York is dedicated to justice, even if it's through his own special means. He will go to any lengths, even at great personal risk (wanna know how he got those scars?), to complete his case.

Deep Savers: York is nearly the textbook example of "unflappable", being able to quip in the face of danger and shrug off insults and weirdness like it was water on his suit. While he might not be completely serious, he certainly is calm.

APPEARANCE:

York is human, male, in his 30s. He has short brown cropped hair, a noticeable scar running from his cheek to above his temple, and a penchant for suits and ties of varying colors and patterns.

PERSONALITY: If there's one thing to say about York up front, it's that he's a creature of habits. He seems to be constantly smoking without regard for anybody around him, exudes sarcasm at the worst possible time, tries to steer conversations towards 80's movies that he knows aaaaaall about, and is very discerning about his coffee. Scratch the surface of the former Special Agent, however, and you get a mind that's sharply attentive to every detail, rock hard and ice cold under any sort of pressure, and... still very discerning about his coffee. It's still not clear if the quirky mannerisms York affects are a show or how he actually acts, but it seems to take a supernatural effort to rile him in any sort of way, constantly snarking in the face of danger.

Speaking of York's quirks, it's hard to talk about him without also mentioning Zach, who seems to be an imaginary friend, a voice in his head, or both, that he constantly talks to. Many conversations go by wherein the Agent will turn away, make some aside comment to Zach under his voice, then turn back and continue as if nothing happened. When pressed about Zach, he'll usually dodge the question or give a cryptic non-answer, as it's seemingly the one thing he prefers to keep secret. Whoever Zach might be, though, he's a constant companion that almost acts as the voice of reason, a sounding board for any time York is in doubt.

His morality is pretty set, considering he's a literal Agent of justice back home: his time in the FBI has served to cement his values, as well as his determination. Put him on a case and he won't stop until he's done, even willing to sacrifice his own safety to apprehend whatever serial murderer he's pursuing.

HISTORY: Link goes to the History section of his Wikia page.

SAMPLES
FIRST PERSON: Threads from the Ruby City test drive meme.
THIRD PERSON: Today had been a long day.

From waking up in an unfamiliar place, to being introduced to things he thought the existence of unlikely, to being saddled up with one of these "digital monsters" and being left to his own devices, York was a bit tired.

Okay, scratch that, very tired. Whatever had gotten him here didn't seem to bring any of his energy with him, though it was kind enough to bring his stuff at the very least. The briefcase with notes. A few extra suits. His handgun, holster, and ammunition. And, thankfully, a few packs of cigarettes. The new technology probably couldn't hurt (even though the styling wasn't exactly to his liking... too garish.), especially considering what he normally had was unresponsive. If it was just no signal or some other interference, he couldn't say.

Of course, the greater worry came when, on an exploratory trip up the tower, overlooking the strange new city from its observation deck, he lit up a cigarette, closed his eyes, and... nothing. Another puff, and more nothing. No way a place as strange as this couldn't have some sort of history, something for him to catch on to. There had to be a block. So that's another distress to pile on. He'd have to rely on good, old-fashioned sleuthing to get anything done here.

At least Zach was still around, though a lot quieter than usual. Maybe that was because he now had something else to vie for attention, this so-called partner that was hanging around him.

Maybe a coffee would clear this up. Yeah... a coffee, a cigarette, and some place to sit and stare at the sky.
